Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Selzix collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use selzix.com, the seller dashboard, and storefronts hosted on the platform. We aim to collect the minimum data needed to run the service, consistent with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) and the data-protection laws that apply where our sellers and their customers are located.

1. Data we collect

• Seller accounts: name, email, password (hashed), store details, tax registration details you add (such as a GSTIN or VAT number), business details, and billing history.
• Store customers: when you buy from a Selzix-hosted store — name, contact details, delivery address, and order history, processed on behalf of that store’s seller.
• Technical data: logs, device and browser information used for security, fraud prevention, and keeping the service reliable.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service: hosting storefronts, processing orders, sending transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices).
• To bill sellers for their subscription via our payment processors (Razorpay for sellers billed in India; Dodo Payments for sellers billed elsewhere).
• To secure the platform and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use buyer data to advertise to buyers.

3. Payments

Card and payment details for Selzix subscriptions are processed by our payment processors (Razorpay or Dodo Payments) and never stored on Selzix servers. Storefront purchases are processed through the respective seller’s own payment-gateway account (for example Stripe or Razorpay), and buyers enter card details on that gateway’s checkout, not on Selzix.

4. Sharing

Data is shared only with processors needed to run the service — payment (Razorpay, Dodo Payments, and the gateway a seller connects, such as Stripe), shipping (Shiprocket or Delhivery, when a seller enables it), email delivery, content delivery, analytics, and hosting providers — under contracts that restrict use to providing the service.

5. Retention & your rights

We keep data for as long as an account is active plus any period required by law (e.g. tax records). You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by writing to contact@selzix.com. Buyers should contact the store they purchased from first; we support sellers in honouring such requests.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and cart functionality, and privacy-respecting analytics on this website to understand how visitors use it. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on storefronts.
